01: Hi, my name is Lorna Li, and I’m the host of Business owners for a Modification. This video series has to do with how to develop a kick-ass website, and the topic of the day is whether or not you need to construct one site or numerous sites. Now, what I can state is if you are a small business or solopreneur there really isn’t really much excellent factor for you to build more than one site for your brand name. I know you might be believing that there is a lot of benefit to having multiple sites in various niches, and then you can drive that traffic and link back to your main company site. Well, that is an excellent method, however I would say unless you are a company that has those resources, for instance a material team, or a graphic design group or people that can actually set up and manage all these sites for you, you’re essentially registering for a lot of work. So here are some reasons you must just concentrate on developing one authority site.

08: Factor primary: Building lots of sites multiplies the quantity of work that you are going to need to do. Okay, so let’s state you have 10 websites that you have produced associated to the various specific niches that your company addresses. Now, that’s 10 more sites that you are going to have to preserve, upgrade, repair bugs and hacks. That’s a great deal of deal with the upkeep side, but then the content development side, you are basically signing up to develop 10 times more content. Then imagine all the social networks profiles that you’re going to require to establish for each different website because social signals are also a really fundamental part … The 200 plus Google ranking factors consist of social signals. So you’re going to need to have a Twitter account and a Facebook page and, so that’s a great deal of work you’re signing up for.

08: Number two: You are diversifying the power of your backlink portfolio if you divided them up throughout multiple smaller websites. So, think of for every piece of material that you put out into the world through your blog site, that is content that can bring in targeted traffic to your website, that can likewise draw in backlinks to your site too. So if you had one big website, then you can bring in those backlinks directly to your main top quality site. However if you have 10 smaller sized websites and those websites attract links, then you’re utilizing your niche sites to connect to your top quality sites, well you’re basically developing a intermediary layer in between the backlinks indicating your specific niche site, then to your top quality site so, why not simply get the links straight to your branded website, and not go through that difficulty?

13: Essentially it’s gon na take you a lot more work in order to develop those 10 smaller websites upto any level of authority where the links pointing to your top quality domain are gon na matter. Which’s since these niche sites are most likely more recent websites that you’ve developed, and domain aid is likewise another big search engine ranking factor. So, why not just get valuable backlinks straight from authority websites that have been around for a lot longer than your specific niche websites and eliminate all the stuff in-between?

45: So, that’s it for now. Thank you so much for joining us. For more info on how to develop a kick-ass site, please go to entrepreneursforachange.com. Thanks a lot and see you next time.

  1. actually a great tip! Thank you. My partner and I have been making a few apps on the the side of our web design business and I was considering to build out a separate website to promote one of the apps. I thought it would make promoting the app easier because one dedicated website would make the messaging more concentrated. But it's another thing to setup, build out….seems like a lot of unnecessary work when I step back. Thank you
